Start your complementary happiness journey!
From one ardent fan of the legendary Star Wars to all of you out there, fans or not. There is something to be taken away from everything! And in that vein, here are a few things that could be learnt from Star Wars.
1
"When you look at the dark side, careful you must be, for the dark side looks back."
- Master Yoda
What you feed, feeds you; and often twice as much as you fed it.
Be mindful of what has your attention.
2
To become a Jedi, you must learn to calm down!
No, it does not mean the same as 'why are you sad, just be happy!'. Calming down can look like many things, most important of which is learning how to rest! When we are in a state of rest, everything flows from flourish instead of from fear.
3
Whatever today looks like, there is always a 'new hope'.
Life is cyclical. This is perhaps, the most ignored reality of our existence. Embrace the good times and harness their memories into motivation in the bad times.
4
The Force Awakens
Notice how it says 'awakens' and not 'acquired' or 'created'?
There is an inherent inner power in all of us. Nobody gives it to us, nobody can take it away from us. It can only be subdued, manipulated or magnified.
Pledge to yourselves to mindfully work towards harnessing that inner strength and making it work for you!
5
Embrace your dark side.
All our feelings are part of a spectrum of human emotions. When we suppress the ones we label as 'bad' or 'negative', they only compound, worsen and fester. More on this in detail, can be found in the post 'Perpetual happiness does not exist'.
Much to learn about ourselves, we all have! So, "do or do not, there is no try!"
