A well-rounded sense of happiness and contentment through life is not just about one thing or the other. Often, we try to fix one thing, anchor all our hopes on that one thing, and yet don’t see a difference - it demotivates us, confuses us, maybe even makes one feel hopeless.
A Better You : this 4-part-series is focussed on breaking it down for you, one aspect at a time, so you don’t have to juggle the confusion with action.
Part 1 - FOOD
|| Focus on: Quality of the food - not just overall, but also the raw ingredients that make the final product.
|| Focus on: Quantity of the food - eat for sustenance, not the other way around.
|| Balance the needs of your body instead of following fads.
|| Monitor your health and tweak your intake accordingly.
|| Do not ignore the gut - your second brain.
|| Eat when you need not when the clock tells you to. (Unless you have medical restrictions or needs which dictate a time for you).
|| Mood influencer - changes how you feel about yourself. Eat good, feel good.
|| Eat foods which existed a 100 years ago.
|| Eat food that grow locally and seasonally. Eat foods and recipes from your ancestor’s kitchens - there is scientific wisdom
|| The food that goes into your body should not come out of plastics and tins. Reduce drastically, or cut entirely.
|| Develop the habit of reading labels - More than 5-6 ingredients, and complex chemical names and codes you can’t pronounce don’t need to enter your body. Use discernment - they even write water as ‘Aqua’ or ‘H2O’ sometimes, and water is obviously fine.
|| Good intake = good output - better energy, better skin, better hair - saving you so much in ‘self-care’ spending.
